NOVABAA Kickoff to our 40th Anniversary & Holiday Party

Happy Holidays Saints!

I hope that this message finds you in good spirits and holiday cheer!  NOVABAA is hosting its Kickoff Event for next year's 40th Anniversary NOVABAA for members to fraternize, fellowship, and socialize together.  We expect this to be an exciting event that we hope will be as fun for our attendees as it has been in planning it!

This social night will have the PRIDE of Heritage High School, Newport News' own, the one, the only, DJ 5800, Hon. Dontae L. Bugg, on the wheels of steel.  There will also be a Karaoke Machine, spades tournament, other card games, trivia, food and libations.  The only thing that is missing, is you!

This event will be held at the Stacy C. Sherwood community center in Fairfax Virginia. The address is 3740 Old Lee Hwy, Fairfax, VA 22030 There is absolutely no charge for this event. However, due to rules outside of our control, this event will be STRICTLY RSVP.  Under the rules set forth by the community center, in order to have the event and serve alcohol, there MUST be a guest list.  Accordingly, if you want to attend, you will need to RSVP in advance - or risk watching us boogie from outside the windows!  More importantly, we need you to RSVP so that we can have a headcount estimate for food and libations.  (This means you must RSVP your guests as well).  Finally, there is a headcount limit.  While we do not anticipate exceeding that headcount, it's better to be safe than sorry.  RSVP early and put this can't miss event on your calendar. 6pm to 10pm on Thursday December 8, 2022 - the event of the year!

One last thing.  In the spirit of giving, every attendee is expected to bring a UNWRAPPED gift to be donated on NOVABAA's behalf to a local needy child.  You will be (respectfully) refused entrance if you walk up empty handed.  In other words, our bouncers and security personnel have been instructed to not let you past the velvet ropes if you don't have an unwrapped gift in your hand.

This will be a can't miss event.  We hope you are able to attend, even if briefly.  I look forward to seeing you all there to close out our NOVABAA year in style, and also to cheer on my fellow spades players as the rest of you battle for 2nd place.  Email president@novabaa.org to sign up for the Spades tournament.
